Abstract Purpose A self-evaluation survey for students was developed in 2021 as a part of the national programme called Finnish Schools on Move (FSM). The purpose is to increase and strengthen student participation developing physically active operating culture schools. Using survey, schools get information about adolescents’ physical activity (PA) during school day well ideas wishes concerning how PA environment. Methods online available FSM programme’s website has six statements related day: break-time activities schoolyard inside school, directed by other or students, commuting, exercise breaks lessons. also contains 14 students’ opinions experiences operations increasing day. In addition, includes two open-ended questions through which can describe what would motivate them participate they their school. all lower secondary receive summary responses. Results By end February 2023, data consist 2,506 self-evaluations from 11 results varied between reflected practices school’s culture. On hand, certain topics were repeated responses example, factors that engage school: peer support, better opportunities around schoolyard, rewards PA, lessons, interesting sport equipment, access gym break-times.
